A Few Notes for a Supportive Retreat Experience

Before the Retreat

  • Fill out the registration form and submit payment by e-transfer to flowwithbj@gmail.com.
  • Please let us know of any dietary concerns. Morning snacks, lunch, coffee, tea, and water are included in the retreat fees.
  • A digital Retreat Companion Guide will be shared in advance. You’re invited to print it and bring it with you, using it to support your practice during the retreat and integration during and after the retreat.
  • If you’d like to linger in the retreat atmosphere beyond our practice hours, Frog City Café curates a small collection of nearby Kaleden Airbnbs. Staying locally allows you to move slowly, enjoy quiet evenings, and fully rest between retreat days. You can explore accommodation options here: www.frogcitycafe.com/stay
  • I try to make my offerings accessible to anyone who feels drawn to this work. One $100 scholarship is available for this retreat for those who would benefit from a bit of financial support. If you’d like to apply, please complete this short questionnaire by March 1st. The recipient will be notified by March 10th. All applications and responses are confidential.

During the Retreat

  • Bring your own mats, cushions, blankets, slippers, journal, thermos, and water bottle. We’ll be seated on the floor for part of the retreat; chairs are available if you prefer to sit in a chair.
  • Dress comfortably and bring shoes and appropriate layers for the weather.
  • Please limit cell phone use to breaks and lunch to honour your practice and the shared time we have together.

After the Retreat

  • Give yourself permission to move slowly as you transition back into daily life. It’s common to feel both nourished and tender after time spent in practice, rest, and reflection.
  • You’re encouraged to return to the qigong, tai chi, self-massage acupressure practices, and reflections from the Retreat Companion Guide in simple, manageable ways—there’s no need to do everything at once. Even a few minutes of gentle movement, quiet sitting, or mindful breathing can help carry the retreat experience forward.
  • Stay hydrated, eat simply, and rest when you can. If questions or reflections arise in the days that follow, you’re always welcome to reach out. This retreat is not meant to be an ending, but a soft beginning—one you can return to again and again.

Registration Closes April 1, 2026
