Flow shows up for me in simple ways—the rhythm of the breath, the turning of the seasons, and the quiet moments when life softens as we stop forcing and start listening. My teaching is rooted in these natural rhythms, inviting more ease into both body and mind.
Qigong sits at the heart of my work. Guided by the foundational principles of qigong rather than a specific lineage, my approach is shaped by lived experience. Through gentle movement, breath, and awareness, the practices support nervous-system regulation, balance, sustainable vitality, and long-term health.
I also draw from yoga and tai chi, weaving together grounding forms, meditative movement, and slow, fluid transitions that feel accessible and nourishing—both in practice and daily life.
I teach weekly qigong and yoga in person in Penticton, BC, and online wherever you are.

Check out these commonly asked questions.
There are many ways to answer this question! By its simplest definition, Qigong (pronounced “chee-gung”) is the cultivation of life energy. When practiced regularly, Qigong has been found to have the potential to manage one’s energy levels, health, and life balance through movement, intention, visualization, and breathing techniques. I also like the definition of Qigong as a practice that moves qi through the body in and unobstructed way.
If you're interested in movement, meditation, preventative medicine, and self-cultivation Qigong could be for you.
No previous experience is necessary for my Qigong classes. All ages and abilities are welcome! If you'd like to practice seated rather than standing, please let me know and I'll have a chair ready for you.
Here are my top three go-to's at the moment:
I found my way to yoga and qigong in 1994, during my university years—a time when curiosity was my compass and I was eager to explore anything that promised meaning, depth, or connection. Around that same time, I began studying Taoism and Buddhism. Those teachings took root early and have quietly shaped how I move through the world ever since, offering a steady lens of compassion, presence, and inquiry.
Yoga has woven in and out of my life over the years, always returning at just the right moment. When I moved to Penticton in 2017, my practice deepened. Yoga became both a personal anchor and a way to give back to the community I was growing into. I went on to complete my RYT-500 certification through the South Okanagan Yoga Academy and have had the joy of teaching vinyasa classes in studios and spaces throughout Penticton.
More recently tai chi and qigong have brought my journey full circle—uniting my love of meditation with mindful movement. These practices meet me exactly where I am, honoring both effort and ease, and offering something sustainable that I can carry with me well into my later years. They continue to guide not only how I practice, but how I teach and live.
Deep gratitude to my teachers: Mimi Kuo Deemer, Brandi Cox, and Simon Cox.
